PRACTICE MERGE OVERVIEW

This firm is based on the East Rand. Very big and strong on auditing. They are expanding there accounting side and looking for a partner to merge his or her accounting firm with them. The idea is that you would then be driving the accounting side and your skills and business division will help them securing more accounting work from there large audit base.

They operate in the IRBA and normal Accounting space. They have fees in the R60m per annum range currently.

They have a few requirements, and they are:

• They would like to merge their accounting firm, with someone, Downstream to consolidate their position in the Accounting space.

• They would like to merge Downstream with firms in the East Rand that will join them in their premises.

• They are happy to buy a portion of the firm and merge the balance if that would work better for you with an agreed exit strategy.
